Before you get started with SuperStream you need to think about which payment option will be best for your business.
There are currently two different ways in which you can make your SuperStream payment:
SuperStream & Report Changes for Payday Super:
As per the Payday super changes, it is now a requirement to pay your employees superannuation on their pay date. Under the new rules, Superannuation Guarantee (SG) payments need to be deposited into an employee's super fund within 7 business days of paying their salary and wages. To pay your employees superannuation on the pay date, create your pays as normal, then go to SuperStream following the below steps:
- Select Superannuation under Wages on the left-hand side
- Go to SuperStream on the right-hand side
Once in SuperStream for the new 2027 financial year, you will need to select the Pay Period for the super payment.
The amounts owing for that pay period will then show below and you will be prompted to create the SuperStream file.
If you wish to check or confirm any superannuation amounts you can do so by running a Pay Process Date or Date Super Paid report depending on what the report is used for.
For example, the superannuation contribution report will only show data that has been marked as paid through SuperStream, so the option for this report will be Date Super Paid.
The superannuation remittance report shows the amount of super generated for that specific period which is why you will see the option Pay Process Date.
If you wish to confirm the amount showing in SuperStream, we recommend viewing the superannuation remittance report for the exact figure for that pay date.
