Error - Object Reference Not Set

This error message usually means you are actioning a process with missing/incorrect details or a folder/record is not being recognised.
 

Opening the desktop application:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object when opening the application means that a folder in the background of the computer is not being recognised.

1. Go to the computer C drive
2. Click on the [Program Data] folder
3. Select [Isolated Storage]
4. Delete the top folder.

Please Note: If you cannot see the Program Data folder, click on [View] in the top left and to the top right click on the [Hidden Files] tick box.
 

Lodging BAS/TFN/PAYG/TPAR via SBR:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object when lodging information via SBR is due to a selection not been made before continuing. 

Ensure when you are on the SBR settings screen that you have selected a [Lodger Type] and [Credential Type]. Also ensure your [Credentials] (MyGovID) in the Credentials drop down box have been selected.
 

Invoice Manager:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object within the Invoice Manager section means that you have a setting switched on that is not in use.

1. Click on [Tools] and select [Options]
2. Go to [Mobile Device Connection]
3. Remove any details in this tab.

Wages Manager:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object when you are clicking on pay Single Employee can mean that they have a duplicate custom rate set up.

1. Highlight the employees name which is giving you the error
2. Select [Modify Employee]
3. Go to the [Pay Details] tab
4. Down the bottom, click on the [Custom Rate] tab
5. Delete the duplicated rate.
